Ryan Simpson has been chasing music since he first sat behind a drum kit in 1997. Nearly three decades of playing, writing, and performing across genres that don't always agree with each other — and he wouldn't have it any other way.From co-founding instrumental prog rock band KSP at 14, to drumming for The Scotty Bratcher Band, to releasing six solo projects, including his most recent full-length Carriages at Midnight (2025) — Ryan's influences range from Rush and Tool to Pink Floyd and Death Cab for Cutie, and that range shows up in everything he writes."I find it so amazing when people can connect with my music."
